Ready to spend your summer on the beach? Come join us at Umiak Outdoor Outfitters, Vermont’s leading paddle sports company! This fast-paced position allows you to share your love of paddle sports in one of the busiest State Parks in Vermont. Our lake outpost is nestled on the beautiful Waterbury Reservoir at Waterbury Center State Park. This 9-6 job will have you renting and educating boaters all summer long!

Outpost Staff Job Responsibilities:

• Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately

• Educating customers about paddle sports

• Working with a point-of-sale system to rent boats and manage funds

• Maintaining rental boat fleet, paddles, and life jackets

• Maintaining the organization of rentals and equipment

• Using strong communication skills to work with Umiak Staff, Park Staff, and customers

Work Hours & Benefits This position is 9-6 but varies on time of year and holidays. This position typically runs from mid-May to late September/October. An ideal candidate would be available for the extent of that time frame.
