Pets are not allowed on any of our tours. Please leave your furry friend at home or make arrangements for their care.

Dressing appropriately for a winter tour is essential to ensure your comfort and safety. We recommend dressing in layers, starting with a moisture-wicking base layer, followed by a warm insulation layer, and finishing with a waterproof and windproof outer layer. Avoid wearing cotton as it retains moisture and can leave you feeling cold and damp. We also suggest wearing warm gloves, a hat, and a scarf to protect your extremities from the cold. Don't forget to wear waterproof and insulated boots to keep your feet warm and dry.

All trips will run regardless of the weather. However, if adverse weather or conditions make it unsafe or impossible to run the trip, Umiak Outdoor Outfitters will cancel and issue a full refund. If you need to cancel your reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, please notify us at least 48 hours prior to your reservation. In this case, we will also issue a full refund. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
