Kestrel 120
Kestrel
Like it’s namesake, the pretty little hawk who flies with uncanny efficiency, this attractive addition to Current Designs has purpose. For touring on a daily basis the Kestrel is comfortable enough to exercise in while providing paddlers with a reliable platform from which to fish, take photographs, observe wildlife or simply enjoy a relaxing jaunt across favourite paddling waters.
Short trips are enhanced by its generous cockpit for ease of entry and exit. The paddler is provided with ultimate comfort and stability, while the wide cushioned seat and adjustable back rest offer hours of relaxing, kayaking. Gear has a place in the Kestrel's surprisingly large rear hatch.
The Kestrel is a straight-tracking, easy-maneuvering kayak that brings the term “recreational” to a new level. In cabin country or urban centre the Kestrel has a distinct place.
Current Designs’ commitment to fit and comfort carries on in our recreational touring kayaks. The Kestrel is 12 feet long by 25 inches wide and easily accommodates most paddlers. It comes fully outfitted with reflective perimeter lines, restrained toggles, left and right fishing rod holder platforms and recessed paddle parks, rear hatch and bulkhead, and complete fore and aft deck rigging with paddle float rescue capability.
The Kestrel is available in rotomolded polyethylene using Current Designs unique SCL™ plastic technology, or thermoformed, using Current Designs newly developed Thermoformed Composite System, TCS™. This new process gives you the great looks and the lighter weight of fiberglass construction at a more affordable price.
